A Monarch Butterfly on an Allium plant

Above left and center photos, I use fountains and water features to attract birds and pollinators alike. In the picture on the right, I used a red Crape Myrtle tree to screen from an adjacent upcoming building. Something we can not get away from here in NYC.

When Choosing plants for a container, always stick to a color story. Keep the colors working in unison. Doing so makes a pleasant and harmonious container garden.

Certain colors are used to attract pollinators and butterflies. Here Alliums are used to attract honey bees and butterflies.
